Last week, Justin Bieber got very candid about his past problems with drugs during a cover story for Vogue.

“Drugs put a screen between me and what I was doing. It got pretty dark,” he said. “I think there was a time when my security was coming in late at night to check my pulse and see if I was still breathing.”

He also dug into a very common discussion now: his battles with depression. Two years ago, Bieber canceled his Purpose tour without giving a true reason. Now we finally have one. He canceled due to mental health and a source close to Bieber has revealed that he’s currently seeking treatment. The source told E! News “battling depression and he’s been having a difficult time,” the insider said.

“He really wants to get better,” they continued. “He has been seeking all the help he can get.”

The main people by Bieber during this trying time for the 24-year-old pop star have been “the people that love him the most,” including his wife Hailey Bieber and his pastor.

“I struggle with finding peace. I just feel like I care so much and I want things to be so good and I want people to like me. Hailey’s very logical and structured, which I need,” Bieber admitted in the Vogue interview.

“He is in outpatient therapy and getting help every day,” E! News’ source explained. “This is his focus right now.”
