Tinder is already an amazing dating app merely for the selection process. One user decided to share what one could call an absolute Tinder horror story. Or comedy, depending on your view point.
The man, who goes by the name @bvdhai on Twitter decided to share a story on Sunday night that sounded like something right out of Black Mirror.
“I am about to tell you an epic tale about subterfuge, dating in the 21st century and the fall of human civilization. This actually happened to me and it could happen to you too,” the man, who Gothamist identified as “Spencer,” Tweeted on Sunday. “So a few weeks ago I was on the Tinder machine shopping my soul around and I match with a very attractive young lady. No bio. Fairly innocuous,” the man explains.
According to “Spencer,” the story began when he matched with a woman, who Gothamist identified as Natasha Aponte and the two hit it off. Only problem was that when they stopped communicating, Spencer thought that Natasha had ghosted him. Actually, she had been working on a big project at work and said she’d get back to him. When she finally hit him back that she was finally free, she offered for the two of them to meet up at Union Square.
Well, unbeknownst to Spencer, Natasha had pulled the same trick — on at least a dozen other men as well.
“She gets the mic and is like thanks for coming out I bet you’re all wondering what this is about and I’m like yeah what the f*** is this about,” Spencer tweeted. “She then says so I know all of you here are on tinder.” Spencer noticed all the men who had surrounded the stage.
“Then she says I’ve invited you all here for a chance to go on a date with me and proceeds to give a hunger games speech about what its gonna take to date her,” he wrote. Finally, it all clicked for Spencer: “ALL THE DUDES THERE SHE FOUND ON TINDER AND TEXTED THEM THE SAME [THING].”
