Slugger Oscar Taveras for the St. Louis Cardinals died Sunday night after a car wreck in the Dominican Republic.
The 22-year-old baseball player aspired to become a star in Major League Baseball, unfortunately his career was cut short this weekend in his hometown.
Yahoo Sports‘ reporter Jeff Passan confirmed Taveras was not alone in his car. Riding in the passenger was girlfriend Edilia Arvelo, she also died.
