Starbucks is expanding their holiday beverage lineup with a brand new drink: the Juniper Latte. Per Starbucks, the wintry drink has “a hint of juniper and sage, an evergreen aroma and citrus notes.” There’s also juniper syrup and “a dusting of pine-citrus sugar.” Something tells me this is going to be as sweet as can be for you to sip when you’re unwrapping presents on Christmas.
Starbucks first included juniper into their beverages last year exclusively at the Starbucks Reserve Roastery located in Seattle. That particular drink included “Starbucks Reserve Christmas coffee, steamed milk, and a syrup with dried juniper berries, sage, and mandarin, then topped off with latte art and a sparkle of juniper sugar.”
In the company’s eyes, it was “a sleigh ride over the river and through the woods, with a woody aroma and flavors of sweet mandarin and mulled spices.”
It sounds delicious. We *might* have to try one before Christmas!
