Here’s an ideal list of travel destinations.

Buhtan, Brazil. Costa Rica. Houston? Well, actually yes! Houston was named by Bloomberg as one of the 20 must-visit cities and countries around the globe to visit. Their Where To Go In 2019 list is out and Space City is up there with locales such as Kenya, Chile, Grenada, Kuala Lumpur and Norway!

Bloomberg says of Houston, “Houston is ready for liftoff.” They mention the 50th anniversary of the moon landing (July 20) and that Johnson Space Center is restoring all aspects inside the original Mission Control to make it appear just like July 1969. The Museum of Fine Arts is wrapping up its $450 million expansion with a roof garden, an amphitheater and public plaza and not to mention food!

There are four giant food courts now and they listed the 9,000-square-foot Bravery Chef Hall among chief destinations, Felix Florez’s new wood-oven steakhouse, the pasta restaurant operated by Ben McPherson not to mention new hotels such as the Four Seasons, Tilman’s Post Oak, the InterContinental and the local Thompson.

They also consider spring to be the ideal time to visit the city and the summer, particularly July, August and September as the worst times to visit. I’m guessing because of hurricane season.
