He tweets, quote, “Major stores are blackballing my CD. Not stocking the shelves and lying to customers.” The comments quickly spread online, causing Brown to post a second Tweet an hour later stating that he would not “retract” his comments. The “I Can Transform Ya” vocalist also delivered a profanity-laced tirade to the music industry. Brown appeared to be in a more pleasant mood when he posted a third Tweet on Friday that read, quote, “Thx again to my real fans. U don’t go unnoticed. Love y’all.”
Reps for Brown and his label, Jive Records, have not commented on the singer’s recent Twitter postings. Chris Brown’s “Graffiti” arrived on December 8th. The album is Brown’s first release since he was arrested last February for assaulting his ex-girlfriend Rihanna. He is currently serving five years on probation for felony assault.
