Eminem signs on to supply music for a television series based in his native city of Detroit.
According to Deadline, the Detroit-born-and-raised emcee has become a symbol of the city, supporting it through good times and bad. Now the famous rapper will be lending a hand to a TV project set on Paramount TV’s drama series inspired by Joe Carnahan’s 2002 movie Narc.
Deadline.com reports that Eminem is in negotiations to join the project as an executive producer and music supervisor, and as part of that he is expected to write some original songs.
Attaching top musicians to TV series has been a successful practice, with Timbaland helping Fox breakout Empire and T Bone Burnett getting ABC’s Nashville off the ground in Season 1.
