Today Boom92 Salutes Boss and Sends A Special Happy Birthday to

Lichelle Laws Aka The Boss

Boss hit the rap scene during the height of gangsta rap. Her career took off in the early 90’s as a Female Gangsta Rapper. Originally from Michigan, she relocated to Los Angeles after graduating high school to pursue a music career in hardcore Hip-Hop.
After recording countless demos, Boss was spotted by Dj Quik who stuck her on a track with AMG.
It was then that Russell Simmons heard the track and promptly signed her to Def Jam West.

She then released her album in 1993 titled “Born Gangstaz” with production by Def Jeff & Erick Sermon. Her style was raw, her lyrics were explosive and proved that a lady could also be a G. In 1994 Boss’ career took a major blow when she was interviewed by a reporter revealing that she was not a Born Gangsta, but actually grew up in an upper-middle-class family and attended private school.
Her career suffered a slight blow but re-emerged as a radio DJ in Dallas.
Today we wish Boss a Happy 46th Birthday!
Here’s the song Deeper than i still know all the words to !  lol :
