On Saturday, August 15, 2015, animal shelters around the country are teaming up with NBC and Telemundo with a campaign called “Clear The Shelters.”
This campaign is trying to help out over 13,000 shelters around our country that has pets in need of being adopted. The idea of the campaign is to empty the shelters by adopting out the pets who need that “fur-ever” home.

So tomorrow, KPRC is teaming up with Telemundo Houston along with the 17 area animal shelters to take part of “Clear the Shelter” campaign. They are trying to adopt out as many animal as possible tomorrow, just like the other shelters around the country are doing.
Our local area’s clear the shelter campaign times are between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. and the shelters are also reducing their fees to try and encourage the people to adopt a pet for tomorrow only.
Check out the #ClearTheShelter on Facebook and read more on the campaign.
