Cash Money Records CEO can’t seem to buy a break these days.

Producer DVLP is suing Birdman for $200,000 for not paying him for his production work, according to TMZ.

The producer, pronounced “develop,” says that Birdman never paid him for his work with Lil Wayne and other Cash Money artists. He says that he had various text message conversations with Birdman, but never saw the promised check.

DVLP’s first work with Wayne was 2005’s “Fireman” and he worked consistently with the New Orleans emcee after that. The producer has also worked with Rick Ross and Pitbull and he crafted the “Rap God” beat for Eminem.

TMZ has gotten a screen shot of the text conversations between DVLP and Birdman. Looks like Birdman is using “the check is in the mail” card in these messages. Birdman and Lil Wayne have been feuding since Lil Wayne said he wanted off Cash Money in December. Birdman has recently been indicated for conspiracy in a shooting of the emcee’s tour bus.
