An update on Cordell Broadus (son of Snoop Dogg) explains why he decided to quit college football.
When Snoop Dogg’s son Cordell Broadus decided to quit the UCLA football team in August, people and fans were surprised. Even ESPN dedicated a reality series about Cordell and Snoop working together to prepare for his jump into college athletics.
Broadus was a highly-touted high school player and expectations were high for Bruins nation. Last night an Instagram post from his page explains the decision to leave football and why he is hanging up his cleats for good.

I played football for my father because I thought that was the only way he would love me & be apart of my life. It took me 12 years to realize he loves Cordell Broadus the person not Cordell Broadus the football player. The best day of my life was when I heard those exact words; I love you dad hope you have a great birthday
Even though, it is a tender moment between dad and son, it’s sad that it took him so long to realize that.
