Irv Gotti reveals a story that could affect Jay-Z‘s legacy.
Gotti spoke to Complex magazine for a special segment interview about his career and life in hip hop. While speaking about Jay-Z classic album Reasonable Doubt and In My Lifetime, Vol. 1, Gotti recalled Jay-Z “taking the Biggie formula.”
The former Def Jam producer said that after the death of The Notorious B.I.G., that Jay-Z figured…”I’ll get all them great records they was about to give Big.’ But that wasn’t his energy. He made that album. He didn’t f*** with none of us. It was a Bad Boy, Hitman album. ‘Sunshine,’ ‘You Belong To The Streets,’ all of that bulls**t.”
