The color specialists at Pantone forcasted the it color for 2015: ‘Marsala.’
The earthy, wine-toned shade was chosen to resemble America‘s mood for the upcoming year.
“It has an organic and a sophisticated air,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, Pantone’s color advisory group according to the Houston Chronicle.
Their forecasts are highly influential in the industry, as companies like Sephora, Hobo handbags, and Kendra Scott keep an eye out for the announcement each December.
The new color trend is surfacing in men’s and women’s 2015 spring collections for Burberry, Louis Vuitton, and Dries Von Noten.
In past years Emarld and Radiant Orchid were colors designers and retailers kept an eye out for to gear their sales.
The lightning rod has hit revealing wine tone pairings with everything fashion.
