After unconfirmed reports about Kanye West having a meltdown at the Saturday Night Live studios, now audio of Kanye’s rant hit the net.
The audio was published by Page Six, where Kanye’s tirade was about the stage for his performance being altered and also mentions about Taylor Swift.
Then later in the audio clip, Kanye claims that he’s more influential than the likes of Stanley Kubrick and Pablo Picasso. Also mentioning in the same breath that he was 50% more influential than Pablo Escobar and the apostle Paul.
It was also reported that some of this rant was Kanye yelling at the Saturday Night Live staff. Kanye’s team has denied that occurred. “He did not yell at SNL staff,” a source close to Kanye West told Complex magazine. “This audio was secretly recorded while he was venting his frustration in a private moment with his team. He found out his stage design was changed and taken apart under the direction of the show’s lighting director without anyone’s approval. He had spent an entire day rehearsing and a lot of hard work into the performance. Dramatic set changes were made 30 minutes before going live. It should be understandable why he was upset after being completely blindsided.”
Also a source claims Kanye made a point to mention that “Ye” hugged Lorne Michaels and stayed after the show for a friendly conversation with the SNL cast and crew.
