Cash Money’s leader Lil Wayne will appear on a track with No Limit’s founder Master P.
According to AllHipHop.com, the song is called “Power” and it’s the first time a Cash Money artist has been featured on the No Limit label
Master P explains “Me and Lil Wayne about to go crazy,” he says, “and it’s about to be a magical 2015.”
“Power” will be part of Master P’s new mix-tape We All We Got, slated to drop January 5 on livemixtapes. The mixtape will feature No Limit’s newest group, Money Mafia.
Former Cash Money producer Mannie Fresh has been on record to say that Master P stole the saying “Bout It” from Cash Money group U.N.L.V.
“This is where all the beef started at,” Fresh said at the time, but added that the feud was mostly between Cash Money CEO Baby and the No Limit founder. “The crazy thing is everybody that was artists from Cash Money [Records] to No Limit [Records] knew each other. We grew up in the same circle of doing music. The two heads of those labels was the people that was beefin’. The artists were never beefin’. But it was just that ‘cause that was your side you had to go with your side.”
A year later, Silkk the Shocker, part of No Limit group Tru, in an interview agreed with Mannie Fresh.
“I never thought it was a problem,” he says. “I’m on [Master] P’s side and he never explained [how his beef with Birdman started]. I’m sure he maybe had like a few words about [Birdman] … but they grew up together, so I don’t know how that [relationship between them] was. But as far as the artists on the labels amongst each other, I don’t think it ever was a problem.”
