“The Evolution of Hip Hop” Showcases at Fair Park on April 30th
[DALLAS, TX – March 2, 2016] – The BOOM 94.5 Music Festival returns to the Metroplex on Saturday, April 30 for a colossal festival, highlighting the pioneers of hip hop and the journey of this increasingly-popular genre. For the third straight year, the event will take place at Fair Park and moves back to the 2014 location (near the Coliseum) located at 1438 Coliseum Dr., Dallas, TX 75210. This year’s festival will showcase “The Evolution of Hip Hop” focusing on the key elements that shaped the culture, including: MCs, DJs, beat-boxing, breakdancing, and graffiti art.
Over 20 artists are scheduled to perform during this year’s festival and will feature a reunion of original artists from the popular No Limit Records label, including its founder Master P, along with Mystikal, Silkk the Shocker, and Mia X. Hip hop legends Kurtis Blow, “Jalil & Exstacy of Whodini”, and Big Daddy Kane will take attendees through the 1980s. Groundbreaking female MCs Da Brat, Lil Mo, and Yo Yo, will rock Fair Park to the beats of DJ Dee Wiz. Texas hip hop royalty will also be in full effect with Mike Jones, Lil KeKe, and DSR (Dirty South Rydaz). Adding their turntable skills to the mix will be New Orleans natives DJ Jubilee and Big Daddie the DJ; as well as BOOM 94.5 mixers, DJ Menace, DJ Mo Dave, DJ Smoove, DJ Teaze and “The World Famous” VMan.

This festival is an all-inclusive experience for hip hop fans of all ages.”
Hosts for this year’s festival will include BOOM 94.5 on-air personalities: Ed Lover and Monie Love (of the new Ed Lover Morning Show), Mark McCrazy, Indy Bee, and Cindi B; along with comedian D. Elli$ “Mr. Entertainment.” Attendees will also be treated to a special evolution of hip hop medley performed by Don Diego.

Tickets go on sale, starting today (March 2nd) through Friday, March 11th for a special pre-sale rate of $20.00 – exclusively online (while supplies last).
