N.W.A will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hame of Fame, but they will not perform at the ceremony.
Ice Cube says although he believes the the whole group will attend, “We’re not performing. I guess we really didn’t feel like we were supported enough to do the best show we could put on…We wanted to do it on a whole other level, and that just couldn’t happen.”
Cube adds that it’s no disrespect “But we’re totally honored, humbled and appreciative to the Hall for even just considering us, inducting us and inviting us.”
N.W.A was nominated three different times before finally voted in to the Hall as the fifth hip-hop group ever.
Kendrick Lamar will induct the classic hip hop group in the Hall of Fame today at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and will be televised on HBO on April 30.
