The second day of the BP MS-150 ride has been cancelled due to weather concerns. The event will now only last one-day and finish in La Grange.

Read the statement below from event organizers:

“After serious consideration and evaluation, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and BP MS 150 organizers have made the difficult decision to cancel Day 2 (Sunday, April 17) of the 2016 BP MS 150 Houston to Austin Bike Ride. Due to the forecast for severe weather on Sunday, including lightning, heavy rainfall and flooding, we have great concerns about the ability to provide a safe event for cyclists, volunteers, supporters and staff. At this time, Day 1 (Saturday, April 16) will continue as planned from Houston to La Grange, and are preparing for a great finish line experience there. We recognize this may impact your personal and team plans for the weekend, and want to help you best prepare for the weekend.”
