The highly anticipated Tupac Shakur biopic All Eyez on Me has run into an issue and the biopic is on hold.

According to a report from TMZ, the biopic has hit a snag in a dispute over the rights of a song intended to be used in the movie.

The song in question is “Ambitionz as a Ridah” off of Pac’s 1996 double album All Eyez on Me. According to, Tha Dogg Pound’s Daz Dillinger, he claims to own the rights to the track since he produced the instrumental for the song.

Daz claims the publishing company BMG is claiming rights to the song, and they say they are the only ones who can authorize use of the track in the film. The issue is reportedly at a standstill.

The movie was initially slated for a September release, but this dispute has caused the expected release date for the film to be pushed back to November.

Hopefully this doesn’t drag on longer than it has to. We will update you as this story develops at Boom92Houston.com
