The Houston Texans reported to training camp without their star WR Deandre Hopkins in the fold. The impasse being money. With two years left on his rookie contract, Hopkins is slated to make just $1 million in base salary this season. This after turning in a spectacular third season where he tallied 111 catches, 1,521 yards and 11 touchdowns. Did I mention Hopkins had four different QB’s throwing to him in 2015 which makes this even more impressive.
But according to ESPN’s Adam Scheffer the star pass catcher has returned to work.
With DeAndre Hopkins returning to camp, he now will be eligible to collect $445,004 roster bonus on August 4th if he’s on 90-man roster.

NFL.com ranked him at 19 of the Top 100 players. Proving that Texans could count on him as trued #1 WR after they released WR Andre Johnson. Johnson holds Texan team records for catches and yards.
