Another Latina took the crown at the 2014 Miss Universe competition as Miss Columbia graced the stage Sunday night.

The 63rd Annual Miss Universe Pageant took place in Miami, Florida Jan. 25, highlighted 88 contestants and was quickly narrowed down to 15 beauties.

“I believe that my country has been an example to be followed for the rest of the countries…We are persevering people…and we continue fighting. Today, we are world leaders in many different parts,” said Vega impressing the judges during the Q&A portion.

One of the finalists, Miss Jamaica represented he country so well, many people were left puzzled when she left the competition holding 4th place.

Miss USA Nia Sanchez was runner-up in the competition.
