Big Boi is working within the (Dungeon) family and will be hitting the studio with Killer Mike.
According to SPIN magazine, Big Boi will be working with Run the Jewels’ Killer Mike on a collaborative album. The Outkast member says he will release the album after his forthcoming solo record.
Seems that plans were in the works, but scheduling conflicts have gotten in the way. “Killer Mike is busy as hell,” he said. “I mean, he’ll come straight from the airport and go into the studio and bust on two or three records and come back again the next day. We’re just trying to put as many ideas out there as possible.”
This wouldn’t be the first joint project between the two prolific Atlanta rappers. Killer Mike has featured on OutKast’s Stankonia and Speakerboxxx/The Love Below.
Big Boi has returned the favor by showing up on Mike’s recordings every now and then, including Run the Jewels’ 2013 hit “Banana Clipper”.
No further details about the album has been released, but we’ll update you as this story develops.
