The Houston Texans are about to embark on their 15th season in the National Football League. As 32 teams start play this weekend all of them have aspirations of ending the season hoisting the Lombardi Trophy Sunday, February 5th at NRG Stadium. The Texans hope to become the first team to host and WIN the Super Bowl on their home field.

This is Texans third season under the leadership of Head Coach Bill O’Brien. He has guided the team to a pair of 9-7 season’s with one playoff appearance (a 30-7 wild card loss at home to the Kansas City Chiefs). Is this the year the Texans get over the hump?

The Texans have 2 new faces in key positions has they acquired starting QB Brock Osweiler (Broncos) and RB Lamar Miller (Dolphins) via free agency. These new acquisitions along with ALL-WORLD defensive lineman JJ Watt and All-Pro WR Deandre Hopkins have Texan fans dreaming of Super Bowl glory.

While some of the schedule (Bears, Jaguars, Lions, Titans) looks manageable, they will face daunting road test (Patriots, Broncos, Packers) as well.

Put me down for 10-6 and another playoff appearance.

All I know is football season is here and it looks to be as exciting as ever.
