Douglas E. Davis or better known as Doug E Fresh born in Barbados and raised in Harlem

Is the pioneer in the art of Beat Boxing imitating drum machines and effects using only his mouth, teeth, tongue and a microphone. He discovered he had these skills at an early age just passing the time walking home after school.

His introduction to most hip-hop fans, came with his performance in Beat Street behind the Treacherous Three and Although he began his recording career as a solo artist it was when he and a new team of DJs known as the Get Fresh Crew! the Crew included Barry Bee, Chill Will and MC Ricky D (who would later be known as Slick rick ) recorded “The Show” & “La Di Da Di”,

It was these two songs that broke Dougie and Slick Rick into stardom.

Both “The Show” and “La-Di-Da-Di” are considered two of the all-time greatest early Hip Hop classics.

Doug E. continued his solo career releasing hit after hit

Doug E. Fresh has continued to influence the game in 2010 saw a small comeback in pop culture as songs like ‘My Dougie” and “Teach me How to Dougie” recognized ” the D town Boogie” to be a modified version of Fresh’s dance moves and gave Fresh his credit.

Doug E. Fresh continues to be the Worlds Greatest Entertainer by hosting and performing all over the world !
