'Ride Along' New York Screening

Cube and Hart are back!

Recent reports shows actor Ice Cube and Kevin Hart are working on a new installment in the “Ride Along” movie series.

Variety reports screenwriters Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi will handle the script, while the film which will be developed by Universal. The director will be the same director who worked on for both “Think Like A Man” movies along with “Hurricane Season”, Tim Story.

The first “Ride Along” film, which was released in 2014, featured comedian Hart as a security guard attempting to prove his worthiness as a brother-in-law to his girlfriend’s police officer brother Ice Cube by going on a police ride-along.

“Ride Along” grossed $153 million worldwide with its sequel grossing $124 million globally.

Cube is also set to be featured in high-school comedy “Fist Fight” with Charlie Day in early 2017.
