This statement made from the Rock N Roll Hall of Famer and Public Enemy front man may upset fans of Tupac Shakur.
Over the weekend, Chuck D. took to Twitter to voice his opinion about 2Pac being nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and said that Pac shouldn’t be inducted before LL Cool J.
The Queens rapper was nominated himself back in 2013 with Public Enemy, but while P.E. was inducted in 2014, LL has yet to make the final cut. Other hip-hop artists in the Hall include Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five, Run-D.M.C., the Beastie Boys and N.W.A joined the elite group as of last year.
2Pac was announced as a nominee for the class of 2017.
Got forever love for PAC BUT there AINT a solo rap act that should get in the RRHOF before @llcoolj I Dont care about what naysayers think

Some of his fans and followers questioned his argument and Chuck was glad to explain his reasonings and engage in the conversation.

The veteran emcee continued,

LL debuted as a teenage rap phenomenon in the mid-80s and would go on to become the biggest solo hip-hop star of that decade. He would continue to drop platinum-selling albums and hit singles throughout the 1990s and early 2000s and won Grammys as he became an accomplished actor in television and film.
What do you think? LL Cool J before Tuapc?
