It has been 18 years since new music came from Q-Tip, Phife, Ali, and Jarobi, yesterday Tribe fans got some amazing news.

On March 22nd, the Hip-Hop nation lost Phife Dawg, however, Q-Tip reveals that before he passed he laid down enough bars to release a proper and final A Tribe Called Quest album.

The Abstract posted a handwritten letter on Instagram that details how it all came together.

The crew performed on The Tonight Show last year—which was also the night of the Paris Bombing—Q-Tip, Phife and Ali Shaheed Muhammad were inspired to go back in the lab.

Phife would pass away in the spring, but he kicked a bunch of rhymes (“He left us with the Blueprint of what we had to do.”) and Tip called in trusty ATCQ affiliates Busta Rhymes and Consequence to round out the project.

The new album is set to drop on Nov. 11, 2016.
