Lil Wayne has upset many people last night when he made some controversial statements about the Black Lives Matter movement during an interview with ABC’s Nightline.
Now, he is apologizing for what he said.
According to TMZ, Wayne explained “When the reporter began asking me questions about my daughter being labeled a bitch and a hoe, I got agitated. From there, there was no thought put into her questions and my responses. Apologies to anyone who was offended.”
The sincerity of Lil Wayne’s apology is certainly in question since he did not retract any of his comments. In the Nightline interview, Weezy said he felt no connection to the Black Lives Matter movement.
“I don’t feel connected to a damn thing that ain’t got nothin’ to do with me,” he said. “If you do, you crazy as shit. You. Not the camera. You. Feeling connected to something that ain’t got nothing to do with you? If it ain’t got nothing to do with me, I ain’t connected to it.”
The New Orleans also seemed unrepentant about his comments when addressing the backlash on social media.
Is intelligence always misunderstood?
