A new four-part documentary, The Defiant Ones, on the partnership between hip-hop game-changers Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine is currently in the works, courtesy of HBO.

The film will feature in-depth interviews from both Iovine and Dre, as well as Bono, Nas, Ice Cube, Gwen Stefani and Snoop Dogg, according to Billboard reports.

It was filmed over a three year period and features never-before-seen footage from recording and writing sessions with Eazy-E, JJ Fad, Stevie Nicks, N.W.A, Petty, Springsteen and U2.

Iovine and Dre’s business an personal relationship will be explored in the documentary, detailing the respective paths in the music industry over the course of the past two decades. Their super successful endeavor with Beats Electronics headphones, the launch of Aftermath Records and discovery of Eminem will be a focal point of the documentary as well.

The documentary is set to debut on HBO in 2017.
