It’s hard enough to be a Muslim America in our new Donald Trump lead country, but for 18-year-old Yasmin Seweid, missing curfew is even more awful.

The New York college student was arrested earlier this week for claiming she was harassed on a subway train this month by a few, drunk, Trump supporters. According to reports, Seweid was charged with filing a false report after she told authorities three men called her a terrorist and chanted “Donald Trump” at her aboard the 23rd Street, 4/5/6 subway station on December 1st. She told police she was approached by three men then told to “get out of this country,” called a terrorist on the train and told to “get the f****** hijab off your head!” She also alleged that one of the men grabbed her bag and broke the strap.

The young student finally broke down on Wednesday and was arrested after she admitted to detectives that her entire story was made up.  Police say Seweid made up the story because she didn’t want to get in trouble for breaking her curfew after being out late drinking with friends. Her strict, Muslim parents allegedly forced Seweid to shave her head over the incident and were upset she was dating a Christian.

Oddly enough, Seweid’s older brother, Abdoul, was also charged with falsely reporting an incident back in 2012 after claiming a pal was assaulted by three unknown males. He and four other teens were charged with grand larceny and conspiracy for allegedly breaking into parked cars and stealing valuables. Yasmin Seweid was arraigned at Manhattan Criminal Court and released Thursday morning. She faces up to a year in jail for each charge.

The hate crime hoax epidemic is real.
