Earlier this year, Bruno Mars‘ popular hit “Uptown Funk” stole the thunder for much of 2016. The collaboration with Mark Ronson was an instantaneous chart-topper, remaining at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for 14 weeks in a row.

Though successful, the song was not without controversy. The 80s electro-funk band Collage filed a lawsuit for copyright infringement, saying Bruno & Mark totally ripped the tune from them.
