The “Miss America” pageant took place last night on ABC, with Miss Dakota, Cara Mund taking home the crown. However, it’s Miss Texas, Margana Wood who has everyone talking about her answer to the Q&A portion of the pageant.

Wood was asked by Judge Chris Harrison whether she though Trump handled the “Charlottesville Riot” adequately and was given 20 seconds to give her answer. She only needed 15 to make her point.

“I think that the white supremacist issue, it was very obvious, that it was a terrorist attack. And I think that President Donald Trump should’ve made a statement earlier addressing the fact, and in making sure all Americans feel safe in this country. That is the number one issue right now.”

Her comments fall in line with past statements she’s made. Wood’s platform was “You Belong“, speaking on bullying, equality, and inclusion for all. Miss Texas was 4th runner up in the pageant.
