Serena Williams isn’t taking the normal celebrity route when it comes to revealing her new baby.
Unlike some stars who wait months, even years, to give fans a first glimpse at their spawn, the tennis champ waited less than two weeks for the big reveal. Rena, who gave birth birth to her baby girl on September 1, posted the adorable photo on Instagram of baby Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. resting peacefully in her mom’s arms.
The superstar athlete even shared a video of her pregnancy journey as well as baby Alexis’ first couple of days of life. She said in a clip, “It’s been a long time. We had a lot of complications but look what we got, we got a baby girl,” after revealing that she was in the hospital “six or seven days” before she and her fiancé, Alexis Ohanian, could bring their daughter home.
You may recall that Serena accidentally revealed her pregnancy back in April by sharing a photo on Snapchat of her baby bump at 20 weeks. By the looks of it, the accidental photo was meant to be apart of the video above — but it all worked out for the best.
Congrats to the Ohanian family and their new bundle of joy. Baby Alexis’ future playdates with Sir and Rumi Carter shall be epic.
