On this week’s episode of Complex’s Sneaker Shopping, Scott Disick met up with Joe La Puma at the popular shop Stadium Goods in New York City. The New York native discusses topics like people wearing Adidas because of Kanye, and why he decided to completely change his personal style from extremely formal to a more casual everyday look. At the end of the episode, Disick spends an impressive $15,000, which happens to be the second-highest purchase in series history behind Brazilian soccer star Neymar.
Of course, it wouldn’t be right to have Scott on a show about sneakers without asking about his friend and fellow Kardashian family member, Kanye West. He says about Ye, “It’s his passion, and obviously it shows correctly because people die for his shoes. It’s unbelievable we live in a world that people are gonna spend $8,000 to walk in a shoe. I could see if someone wanted to spend $8,000 to walk in my shoes for a day, but that’s a little different.”
Disick also speaks on his personal love of streetwear, later commenting that he’s always liked Supreme (he did show up in a Supreme x Louis Vuitton collaboration jacket). He said, “I love all that stuff but I do like simplicity, things that are kind of plain. Notice I only have one car, one watch—I’m a very down-to-earth guy. But I do really like very simple stuff, like white shoes—I’m wearing a tracksuit and I’m not 20, but whatever…”
