Some school districts have announced that they will close or delay school Wednesday due to the winter storm warning. If your school isn’t on the list, contact your district or check their social media.
A Winter Storm Warning is now in effect for Houston until midnight Wednesday. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for coastal counties.

CITY/COUNTY CLOSURES
- City Bellaire will reopen at 1 p.m. court docket scheduled for Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. will be rescheduled, however, the court docket for 1 p.m. will proceed as scheduled.
- City of Brookshire
- The City of Conroe will remain closed Wednesday except for essential personnel
- The Galleria will be closed for the remainder of Tuesday.
- The City of Houston Municipal Courts Department
- All Harris County Department of Education facilities will be closed on Wednesday.
- Galveston County offices will be closed Wednesday
- Galveston County Health District divisions
- The Houston City Council meeting originally scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday has been delayed until 1 p.m.
- There will be no Harris County delinquency docket or detention hearings Wednesday.
- Missouri City: Non-emergency city offices will open at 12 p.m. Wednesday
- The City of Pearland opens 11 a.m.
- Seabrook City offices will remain closed on Wednesday.
MEDICAL CLOSURES/DELAYS
- All Kelsey-Seybold Clinic locations will delay opening until 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17.
SPECIAL EVENTS
- Due to weather conditions, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas is rescheduling the Naturalization Ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at the MO Campbell Educational Center, to Wednesday, February 14, 2018.
