Peppa Pig apparently is a proud cartoon for “gangsters” in China. It’s gotten so out of hand that an online video channel has blocked the show for promoting a “gangster” subculture.

The search term #PeppaPig was removed from video app Douyin, making nearly 30,000 videos of the playful pink piglet unsearchable, according to Chinese media. Users have reportedly used the cartoon in memes, spoof videos or in the context of vulgar or crude jokes.

I thought they would have banned Peppa over the clip above in regards to fake friendships but … *shrug*.
