Ezra Blount, a 9-year-old boy who was on life support after he was injured at Astroworld Festival on November 5, has died according to his family.

22-year-old Bharti Shahani was set to graduate from A&M with a degree in computer science.

At a news conference Wednesday (November 10), Finner revealed investigators spoke with the security guard, who told them he passed out after being struck with an object, not injected with anything.

Nine-year-old Ezra Blount was one of several victims critically injured during the frightening incident. His grandfather, Bernon Blount, said that he's still in a medically induced coma after being trampled during the deadly surge. The young boy attended the concert with his father Treston Blount. Bernon told CNN that Ezra was enjoying the concert from the comfort of his dad's shoulders in order to avoid the large crowd, but as Travis took the stage, people struggled to push past Treston, squeezing him into the rowdy flock of festival-goers and eventually causing him to pass out.

According to Variety, Scott will also not take the stage in Las Vegas this weekend at the Day N Vegas festival, citing the rapper was too distraught to perform after learning eight people, ranging from ages 14 to 27 died at Astroworld on Friday (November 5).

In addition to the reported deaths, 17 festival attendees were transported to local hospitals, 11 of whom were in cardiac arrest.
