Dakota Access Pipeline
Native Americans from across the nation will gather in Washington, D.C., for four days of protests against the Trump administration and the Dakota Access oil pipeline that will culminate with a Friday march on the White House.
The Army Corps of Engineers have changed their position on the controversial Dakota Access Pipeline, which President Donald Trump officially recently approved with an executive order. The army will grant an easement allowing construction to move forward.

A group of Greenpeace protesters raised a banner with the word "RESIST" near the White House after President Donald Trump signed an order continuing Dakota Access pipeline construction.
Large protests are expected on Tuesday in opposition to an executive order signed by President Donald Trump to advance the Dakota Access Pipeline and the Keystone XL pipeline.
"As a descendant of people who were denied the right to read, to now have the opportunity to serve and lead the institution that is the national symbol of knowledge, is a historic moment," Carla Hayden said at her swearing-in ceremony.
