Micah Johnson
Experts say Johnson's medical path is the determining factor in comprehending his mindset on the fateful night of July 7, when he opened fire at a peaceful anti-police brutality rally.
In mixed crowds of average people like you and me, the police have become increasingly violent, resorting to tear gas, smoke bombs, and rubber bullets to remove people protesting against brutality.
In March 2009, Johnson joined an Army Reserve unit in Seagoville, Texas, and served four and a half years. He was sent to Afghanistan in 2013 and served eight months with the 420th Engineer Brigade.
On Thursday, 5 officers were fatally shot, while 6 people were injured at a protest over two recent fatal police shootings. Images reminiscent of the '60s have flooded the nation, as we endured a week of unfiltered violence.
