Linkin Park lead singer Chester Bennington committed suicide at the age of 41.
The news comes from LAPD who reportedly found his body Thursday around 9 a.m. It is confirmed to be suicide from hanging.
The singer struggled with drug and alcohol abuse for years and has expressed suicidal thoughts before.
Linkin Park is currently on their One More Light World Tour, which will more than likely be canceled with this news.
The band’s latest single “Heavy” featuring Kiiara #11 on Billboard’s Adult Top 40.
Their debut album Hybrid Theory (2000) is certified Diamond by RIAA and multi-platinum in several countries.
Linkin Park has sold over 70 million albums worldwide and has won two Grammy Awards.
